Get Involved, Real Impact
THIS ISN’T JUST ABOUT A SCHOOL. THIS IS ABOUT IRREPARABLE HARM.
We have the proof the decision violated open meeting laws. We have the proof it was pre-determined. There are ethical complaints filed. There was seemingly fraudulent activity turned over to the Office of the Louisiana Attorney General in regards to how district optimization was done. The reports they supposedly based this on! Office of the Louisiana Attorney General
We NEED more plaintiffs.
When decisions are made about our schools, the question isn’t just what changes?
It’s who is harmed and can that harm ever be undone?
Here’s the truth:
1. Northside Families & District 3 & 4 Communities
When schools close or shift, property values drop.
Neighborhoods lose stability.
What families built over years can change overnight and that loss doesn’t just “come back
2. Students Who Rely on Equal Access
Moving centrally located resources across town doesn’t impact everyone equally.
It creates barriers especially for Title 1 families.
Lost access to career training and education pathways is not something a student can “make up later.”
3. Northside High Students
A school sitting at a “C” and trending downward is on the edge.
If it drops, students may lose access to better opportunities not because of effort, but because of capacity and system decisions.
4. Comeaux & Acadiana High Students Especially ESL & SPED
Students are being asked to move into a school flagged by the Louisiana Department of Education as needing urgent intervention.
For ESL and SPED students, disruption isn’t just inconvenient — it can set them back academically, emotionally, and developmentally in ways that cannot be repaired.
Rising juniors and other students - the opportunities in clubs and organizations and leadership roles. I know one is risking a major scholarship opportunity. The investment on rings and custom athletic gear.
5. Families Who Chose Comeaux
Families bought homes, signed leases, and built their lives around being zoned for Ovey Comeaux High School.
6. Student at Southside or going to Southside
2019 they talked capacity
2024 the district optimization report showed 112% facilities usage! Now we add a few hundred more in the fastest growing area!
That wasn’t random that was intentional.
And now that stability is being taken away.

Irreparable harm means this:
It cannot be fixed later.
It cannot be undone.
It cannot be compensated.
Children don’t get a “redo” on their education.
Families don’t get a reset on their investments.
Communities don’t recover overnight.
This is bigger than one school.
This is about equity.
This is about access.
This is about doing what’s right before the damage is permanent.

Because once it happens…
there’s no going back.

GET INVOLVED WE ARE THEIR VOICE
Our Children Are Not an Agenda
Do not involve yourselves in the educational leadership of our children with ill intent.
We are parents first.
Taxpayers second.
And we are taking our power back - for our children and for their future.
But before we demand accountability, we accept our own.
We allowed this to go too far by not paying close enough attention.
That ends now.
This is a turning point.
Some in leadership have lost sight of what is right.
If that is the case, the honorable path is simple: step down.
Everything will come to light.
Because while some have failed to lead and we as stakeholder fell asleep
we the parents and stakeholders are rising.
We are watching - publicly.
We are engaged -publicly.
We will not be silent.
We will not be intimidated.
Not when it comes to the future of our children.
Why Volunteer?

Change does not happen in silence. It happens when a community stands together informed, prepared, and visible.
Our kids need a voice.
Our LPSS employees need a voice with true anonymity.
